Around ten years ago I went through a phase where I started tearing up when I saw porch swings or hammocks. I wanted to sit, to swing and look at the sky, to experience the luxury of time moving slow and nothing todo. When was the last time I felt that? The 90s? Why is time going exponentially faster? It’s not just age, adolescents are feeling this too.

Many people arrive at therapy exhausted—not just emotionally, but physically and spiritually too. They’ve been pushing through, trying to manage symptoms, keeping it all together on the outside… while quietly unraveling on the inside.

Holistic therapy offers a grounded and more expansive way forward.

The Roots of Holistic Therapy: A Transpersonal Legacy

Holistic therapy emerges from a lineage that reaches beyond pathology into possibility. Its modern roots are found in the transpersonal psychology movement of the late 1960s and 70s—a revolutionary shift in the field of psychotherapy that sought to honor the full spectrum of human experience: body, mind, heart, and spirit.

Pioneers like Abraham Maslow, Stanislav Grof, and Carl Jung opened the door to a vision of healing that didn’t just treat symptoms, but supported transformation. Where traditional therapy emphasized dysfunction, transpersonal psychology recognized the inner wisdom and longing for meaning that live within each of us.

Today’s holistic therapy carries that vision forward—integrating evidence-based modalities with somatic awareness, spiritual insight, and deep nervous system regulation. It is a return to wholeness. A remembrance that healing isn’t about becoming someone new, but reconnecting with who we’ve always been.

WhatIs Holistic Therapy?

Holistic therapy—sometimes called whole-person therapy or mind-body psychotherapy—is rooted in the belief that our mental, emotional, physical, and relational health are deeply interconnected. Instead of focusing only on symptoms, holistic therapy explores the full context of your experience to understand the deeper roots of what’s keeping you stuck.

Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, burnout, depression, trauma, or life transitions, holistic psychotherapy honors all parts of your being and supports you in healing from the inside out.

Why a Holistic Approach Matters

Many of my clients are high-achieving, insightful individuals who’ve tried traditional talk therapy. They’ve gained insight, but something still feels unresolved—like they’re circling the same issues without fully breaking free.

Integrative therapy and a mind-body approach can make help us get unstuck.

Holistic therapy doesn’t just help you understand why you feel the way you do. It helps you actually shift it—by working with your nervous system, core beliefs, emotional patterns, and relational dynamics in a fully integrated way.

My Approach to Holistic Therapy

As a holistic therapist, I blend evidence-based practices with deep intuition and lived experience. My approach is compassionate, personalized, and grounded in presence.

I integrate tools such as:

  • EMDR (for trauma resolution and emotional healing)
  • IFS (Internal Family Systems)
  • Mindfulness and Somatic Awareness
  • Attachment theory and nervous system flexibility
  • The Enneagram (as a powerful map for personality transformation and self-understanding)

These approaches work together to help you reconnect with your body’s wisdom, heal emotional wounds, and access the inner clarity that’s been there all along.

The Benefits of Holistic Therapy

Clients often describe their work in holistic therapy as a turning point—a place where insight meets integration, and change becomes possible.

With this whole-person approach to healing, many clients experience:

  • Greater clarity and alignment with their values
  • Decreased anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and reactivity
  • A renewed sense of purpose and direction
  • More fulfilling relationships with self and others
  • Lasting relief from patterns that once felt unchangeable
  • A deeper connection to their intuition, body, and truth

Why Choose Holistic Psychotherapy?

Holistictherapy is not a quick fix—it’s a compassionate invitation back to yourself. It’s about gently unwinding the internal knots that have kept you surviving, and helping you reclaim a life that feels whole, true, and fully yours.

This isn’t just about feeling better. It’s about living better. Aligned. Empowered. Awake.
